Delineate organisation Communication program for 1 to 3 year period

Once the Message house is ready, and based on the business plans for the next 1/3 years, it is advisable to draw up a broad 3 year plan, which is then dovetailed into yearly plans every financial year. The yearly plan is then broken down into a quarterly action plans, which are then monitored on monthly basis. This helps keep the communication program on track and also undertake any course corrections that may be required, due to changed circumstances (internal or external). It is observed that an organisation that doesn’t follow proper communication plans ends up spending resources on PR events and activities that are adhoc and driven by considerations other than business objectives.
